Description

BP is currently seeking candidates to fill a number of Petroleum Engineer positions in Alaska. As part of a fully integrated multi-discipline thriving subsurface team you can expect to use state of the art tools, methodologies and technologies. The successful candidates will be offered a position in either the Greater Prudhoe Bay or Alaska Consolidated Team Business Units.
The Prudhoe Bay field currently has 1000 active wells that produce 8bscf of gas in addition to the 400,000 bbl oil per day. The Alaska Consolidated Team produces 120 MBD net production from 3 operated units. The primary goal is to maximize oil production while minimizing costs and risks. The ultimate goal is to ensure cost efficient recovery of the reserves through reservoir management, well interventions and development drilling.

On a daily basis you will work directly with the team to ensure HSE, technical, and economic success for optimization of the base well set and delivery of an active well intervention program. The team will prioritize work according to payback, risk, budgets, and equipment availability. The larger team includes other petroleum engineers, geologists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers working together to optimize production and ultimate recovery to maximize value.
