Description

BP is currently seeking candidates for a Reservoir Engineer (RE) position in Anchorage, Alaska. As part of a fully integrated, multi-discipline, thriving subsurface team, the Reservoir Engineer will use state-of-the-art tools, methodologies and technologies to work on base reservoir management and/or reservoir development planning. This could include infill drilling, wellwork, satellite developments and new developments. Classic RE skills and competencies are required and some simulation experience is needed. Working within a subsurface team and generally contributing across delivery teams, the RE will deliver an optimally managed reservoir to increase asset value. A successful candidate would be involved in one of the following:
- Front-end loading of recent discoveries to assess develop-ability
- Portfolio management
- Exploration well planning
- Well operations
- Discovery evaluations


Requirements


- Legal authorization to work in the
-on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
- Minimum of 5 years experience, with exposure to appraisal and development work
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience with Major Project Common Process
- Well planning at the appraise or development stage
- Three years experience with numerical reservoir simulation, preferably with STARS
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
